DIY: Lip Palette

Hi Everyone!!!

Ever had so many lipsticks that are almost out and yet they take up so much space still? Well stress no more! I created this lip palette and it only took a few minutes. And the best part? You can create your own shades ;)

First off here is a list of items you’ll need to get started.

Empty eye shadow palette (can be found on eBay, link below)

Lipsticks

Spoon (heavy duty real one)

Candle

Alcohol Wipes

Butter Knife (even the plastic ones work)

Paper towels

Step 1: Wipe down the empty eye shadow palette pans with the alcohol wipes.

Step 2: Light your candle (I used the two wick candle above it works a little faster)

Step 3: Open your favorite lipstick tube and cut off a piece that is about a ¼ of an inch and place in the middle of your spoon.

Step 4: Hold over the flame of the candle and watch it melt.

*Hold about an inch away for best results (patience matters) last thing you want is burnt lipstick. Eww*

Step 5: Once all of the lipstick has melted in your spoon carefully pour into a pan. Once your pan is full slightly tap it on the table to release any air-bubbles.

Your palette should be ready for use in less than 30 minutes!

You are finished!

Quick Tips:

*Cut off tiny pieces of different shades and melt together.

*Ever want a little more sparkle? Add a touch of your favorite sparkly lipgloss when your melting!!

I really hope you all enjoy this!! I had so much fun creating mine and was so proud of myself on how much space I saved! Besides don’t you normally chunk your tube once it’s so low you can’t swipe it on anyways? Now you can scoop out the rest and create your own palette that will last months J My favorite part? Now I can take all my favorite lipsticks with me anywhere!!
